The problem of air, noise, and water pollution is increasing these days. Industrial production and the density of traffic are responsible for air pollution. The emission of smoke and toxic chemicals has raised the lava of sulphur dioxide in the atmosphere. This pollution can lead to respiratory ailments and even skin problems. The discharge of untreated industrial wastage and municipal sullage in rivers are responsible for water pollution. Again exhaust from different types of automobiles is another air pollution.
Discharging sewage and harbor waste in coastal waters is responsible for Marine Pollution; This results in the mar of marine life and poses a threat to our economic system. Nuclear pollution threatens life more than any other pollution today. There are chances that accidents may happen in nuclear plants, which may bring destruction. Besides these pollutions, there is a pollution of our space because of the litter and garbage of thousands of space objects. Again the release of gases by rockets harms the health of human beings. The ultimate victim of every kind of pollution is man himself. Government is busy finding ways and means to fight this dreadful problem. In the past, there were large-scale efforts on the part of the government to clear Ganga water. Noise pollution is also responsible for mental ailments in big cities like Delhi, Bombay, and Calcutta. To stop or at least reduce the rate of pollution is the need of the hour. Steps, direct or indirect, are not taken to stop this problem very shortly; many diseases and ailments may come up owing to these different types of pollution.
