Smt. Indira Gandhi was a great daughter of India. She was an international figure. She was the first woman Prime Minister of Free India. She held this office till her death in 1984. She was a great speaker and writer.
She was also a champion of world peace. Mrs. Indira Gandhi was born on November 19, 1917. She was fortunate to have Jawaharlal Nehru as her father. She grew up under the influence of her father, who was the country’s greatest leader at that time.
He was a great patriot, a great intellectual, a great statesman, and a great idealist. She Inherited all these qualities from her father. She traveled widely and learned a great deal about the world.
She remained the prime Minister of the country for about fifteen years. During that period, she did great things. She made the country strong and prosperous. She won great wars and raised India’s prestige on an international level.
She won many friends for us. She stood for the unity of the country. She was the greatest leader. She made India great, prosperous, and strong. But unfortunately, she was assassinated by her security guards on October 31, 1984. She breathed her last.
